Debbie is an international triathlete racing on the ITU World Circuit.
With coach Pete Pfitzinger, Bigfoot were consulted to analyse Debbie’s running and cycling to improve performance. In conjunction with the NZ Academy of Sport and Boulder Colorado alterations in running technique have reduced load on muscles and improved efficiency. A carbon fibre orthose was developed for running and cycling which she races and trains in for performance and prevention of injury. Bigfoot reviews Debbie's shoe selection and orthotics whenever she has a lower leg injury.
Debbie retired from competitive ITU triathlon in 2012 and acts as a mentor for aspiring triathletes.
