- Can I see a podiatrist face to face in Alert 2
- Yes as of the 14th May Face to Face consultations are available
- I am High Risk and donot feel comfortable coming to the facility
- We will continue to provide Telehealth (virtual) consultations in Alert 2 or can make specific arrangements at the facility to ensure your safety is a priority e.g. coming in the weekend to see you
- Your phones are not answering
- Under Alert 3 and 4 our phones are offline. Please contact info@bigfootpodiatry.co.nz or call 021786061
- Can I be seen in Alert 3?
- Only Urgent cases can be seen in Alert 3
- This is a case by case basis and will be discussed by the podiatrist if you are suitable. Virtual consultations are available and have been very helpful in helping our clients
- What Conditions are considered treatable in Alert 3?
- Life or limb threatening conditions only. Please call or email the us immediately if you feel this is the case. A call on the phone or a virtual consultations is very helpful
- How much do virtual consultations cost?
- We are providing these free to all our clients during COVID-19
- Does ACC cover podiatry during Alert 3?
- Yes, ACC are supporting providers. We are not charging clients a surcharge during this difficult time
- When can I get my callus, corn and ingrown toenail treated?
- Alert 2 is when we can commence routine footcare face to face. Under Urgent care we may consider treatment in alert 3 but this is very strict
- Will it be safe to attend a podiatry treatment
- As a medical profession governed by the Podiatry Board we have very strict infection control, contact tracing, sanitisation/disinfection and social distancing policies in place
- I am a Very High Risk Client,do you have safety procedures in place for me?
- Yes, we have a policy in place to managing the very high risk clients. These are treated on a case by case basis. If you fit this catergory pleasadvise our reception team first and our podiatrists will call you to discuss our policy
